11-15-07 Whoops Okay, we haven't checked in for a while but ghostbeat news has been invisible lately. Ken is sitting in with different bands here and there, and working with a Brazillian flavored band as well. More details on that to come.
Bryan has been a staff songwriter at Songs Of Love for 2 years producing over 13 albums worth of songs of love for chronic or terminal children.
Of course ghostbeat is squeezing in recording sessions for the ever-upcoming Old Friend Surprise album. Still, they can't resist and have a rare public show scheduled; live at the Metro! We miss ya = come check us out!
10-30-06 We're back! ghostbeat could not resist the chance to deliver another heapin' helpin' of our hyper-coustic rock! Live at The Cove. Shows the first 3 mondays in December 6 - 10pm.

10-29-05 Unplugging Abbey
|
The debut showing of ghostbeat's unplugged side 2 of the Beatles' Abbey Road album went quite well, some audience members still looking for their dropped jaws. Always looking for a challenge, Ken gets Ringo with the racket, and Bryan melts down all the guitars and bass into his acoutic guitar. Definitely being for the benefit of everyone from Mean Mr. Mustard to Her Majesty.
Please see our gigs page for the next Abbey shows.
08-01-05 Brevard Live Music Magazine honored ghostbeat with the 2005 E.A.R. Award! That stands for Excellence in Audio Recording, which means that the quality and quantity of music recorded and released is above and beyond the call of duty - that's our story anyway! You can decide for yourself from the samples on our albums page.
Special Thanks to Brevard Live Magazine, Chris Long and all our supporters! The Awards ceremony was Sunday night July 30 at the Henegar Center in Melbourne, Florida, and ghostbeat was humbled to be in the company of many great talents representing the area.
Also, like Ken wasn't gonna get laid that night anyway, in his speech he gave kudos to "band wives" everywhere for their undying support!
05-24-05 What a Racket!
|
Lately Ken has incorporated his "racket" into his full drum kit; make sure you don't miss this groundbreaking percusive achievement. Don't worry, his ashika and djembe aren't going away either.
Check our shows page to see when you can experience ghostbeat's latest flavors!
03-25-05 Bad Day. That's the name of the short film recently made by ghostbeat accessory-member Paul Marquis. It's completion is drawing near as Bryan and Paul work diligently on the soundtrack and accompanying song. Stay tuned here for a possible mp3 sampling of their adventures, and details on the availability of the film/DVD.
02-22-05 Wow! Ray Allaire's Feb. 5th show was sold out and went great! Check his site for details, or go straight to a review. There's a photo below and some more inserted in the slide show on the home page.

01-02-05 Rev up the buzz rooms! Latest CD Got It features 5 previously unreleased precious rockers along with the 2001 release Not Gonna Get It. These 5 tracks were begrudgingly left off of Water and have now received the digital remaster treatment, and are awaiting your approval. So theoretically, they sound better than the album they were left off of. Hmmm, what would Water sound like remastered?...
12-29-04 A Joyous and Spiffy New Year to all! Hang on everyone, another great year is just around the corner! Sure, we all miss Ken and Bryan playing out, but they're keeping very busy preparing for the Feb 5 show with Ray Allaire. You can get show tickets online here. With dancers, video, motorcycles, a skit, and other theatrics, it's promising to be quite a show at Florida Institute of Technology's Gleason Auditorium in Melbourne, Florida. Ray is an extraordinary writer/performer, check out his versions of country / rock / pop from his site or some of the stations giving him exposure.

Those show pictures are to the left with Ray, Ken, Bryan, John, and Randall Addington (also from the Ray Allaire Band).
05-19-03 Thanks Everyone Nearly $6000 was raised for massive brain stem stroke victim Frank Todd Gurnick! Check out Ray's stuff - it's so powerful catchy that Bryan is playing bass and singing backup with him.
07-23-02 Show Down Our show with the Temenos Ensemble went great - even if you missed us you should still go check out the interactive theatre there at Joe's NYC Bar with other cool bands. It's a play in a bar about people in a bar with a band, we played the band in the bar, and in the play. It's the same play but different every time, and you can make the difference. Go figure it out!
